Ludhiana, December 22, 2025: National BJP leader Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal Bhukhri Kalan said that the Government of India under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the firm guidance of Union Home Minister Amit Shah has taken a historic and deeply compassionate step for the soul of rural India through the Viksit Bharat Rural Employment and Livelihood Guarantee Mission Bill 2025.

Grewal wrote on his social media accounts specially on X that this landmark Bill reflects a heartfelt commitment to the dignity of labour the security of rural families and the long term strength of villages which form the backbone of the nation. Grewal said that by courageously replacing the twenty year old MNREGA framework with a modern transparent and people centric system the Modi Government has once again shown that it listens learns and leads with honesty and empathy.

He told that the guarantee of 125 days of employment for every eligible rural household member above the age of eighteen is not merely an administrative reform but a moral promise. He said that increasing employment days from one hundred to one hundred twenty five will bring real income stability hope and confidence to millions of poor families who depend on daily wages for survival.

Grewal said that this Bill is not limited to providing work alone but is a holistic mission to build strong sustainable and future ready villages. Grewal said that priority given to water conservation rural infrastructure livelihood linked assets and climate resilience works shows the farsighted thinking of Prime Minister Modi. He added that the creation of assets under a unified Viksit Bharat National Rural Infrastructure Stack will ensure that every rupee spent creates visible lasting value on the ground.

Grewal said that unlike the past this new law removes all major weaknesses that plagued MNREGA for years. He said that work categories have been clearly defined village level planning has been made mandatory and integration with national platforms like PM Gati Shakti will ensure coordination accountability and efficiency.

He further said that the Bill will significantly strengthen the rural economy by generating employment increasing income improving farm productivity and reducing distress migration. Grewal said that large scale water related works including Amrit Sarovar initiatives have already proven how thoughtful planning can revive groundwater support agriculture and secure livelihoods.

Grewal told that farmers will benefit immensely as labour availability during sowing and harvesting seasons will be protected through a well planned no work period decided by states.
