VIII Telangana Shooting Championship to be held at Hyderabad

Hyderabad, July 27, 2022: The VIII Telangana State Shooting Championship will be held from August 1-7 at Shooting Ranges, Sports Authority of Telangana State, Gachibowli, Hyderabad. This Year two new categories namely Masters Championships and Seniors Master Championships have been introduced which is first time in history of shooting sports in Telangana State. 850 players from various districts will be participating in 144 shooting disciplines. Electronic targets are also being used in the competitions and freshly in each range CCTV Cameras are being installed for recording and surveillance during the competitions and Telangana State is first state across India implementing this.
 
All the competitions are conducted taking COVID-19 Protocols into consideration and strictly as per the guidelines issued by the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) and Govt. of Telangana.

Telangana Rifle Association (TRA) was founded in 2014. The main Objective of Telangana Rifle Association (TRA) is to promote the art of target shooting in Telangana. Some of the governing body members are seasoned administers and renowned shooters. TRA successfully conducted 1st Telangana Shooting Competition in 2014 at Sports Authority of Telangana, Shooting Ranges, Gachibowli, Hyderabad from 13th to 18th of August 2014. Over 300 shooters participated from different districts of Telangana. Telangana Rifle Association (TRA) continues to prosper under the able administration and active participation of the TRA governing body.
