Vigilance Awareness Week celebrations at CEDS, PU

Chandigarh, October 29, 2021: Vigilance Awareness Week celebrations were organized by the Department of Community Education and Disability Studies, Panjab University, Chandigarh from October 26th – 29th,  2021. Different events were organized starting with” Integrity Pledge” on 26th October, 2021;  A signature campaign on 27th October, 2021; A Virtual Quiz Competition on 28th October, 2021 and culminated with a Webinar on 29th October, 2021.  The Webinar was organized on the theme “ How to get Unique Disability Identification(UDID) Card for person with disability”. 
The Resource Person was Dr. H.P.S. Kang, Professor in the Department of University Centre for Instrumentation and Micro-electronics, Panjab University, Chandigarh.  He highlighted the importance of the UDID Card and gave hands on training on the process of making the UDID card.  This generated lot of interest among the participants. Around 100 participants attended the Webinar. This Webinar was organized under the patronage of our honorable Vice-Chancellor Prof. Raj Kumar.  He has always been a source of great inspiration and motivation.  This Webinar was organized in collaboration with Equal Opportunity Cell-Persons with Disability, Panjab University, Chandigarh and SAKSHAM Chandigarh. 
The Chairperson of the Department of Community Education and Disability Studies Prof. (Dr.) Navleen Kaur introduced the theme of the Webinar and the Resource Person.  Dr. Ramesh Kataria, Coordinator of EOC-PwDc, P.U., Chandigarh highlighted the achievements of the Cell.   Mr. Ravi Khurana from SAKSHAM Chandigarh apprised the participants about the achievements of their Organization. 
Dr. Ramesh Kataria proposed a vote of thanks. The Vigilance week celebrations were successfully organized by the Department Faculty: Dr. Md. Saifur Rahman, Mr. Nitin Raj and Md. Taukir Alam.
