Rohtak, February 23, 2026: MDU Vice Chancellor Prof. Somnath Sachdeva conducted a surprise inspection of the boys' hostel campus on Monday and took a detailed review of the arrangements at Kailash Boys' Hostel. Registrar Dr. Krishnakant was also present.
During the visit, the Vice Chancellor visited the student’s mess and had lunch. He closely inspected the food's quality, taste, nutritional status, and hygiene standards. Expressing satisfaction with the quality of the food, he praised the mess staff and stated that providing nutritious and balanced meals to students is the university's primary responsibility. He also directed regular monitoring to maintain cleanliness and quality.
The Vice Chancellor interacted with the students and listened to their problems and suggestions. He said that the hostel is not just a place to live, but a school for personality development and discipline. The administration will ensure that students receive a safe, clean, and positive environment. Registrar Dr. Krishnakant said that the hostel system will be reviewed periodically and any deficiencies that arise will be addressed on priority.
The Vice Chancellor also reviewed cleanliness, drinking water, electricity, security, and other basic facilities on the hostel campus and issued necessary instructions to the concerned officials. Chief Warden Boys Prof. Sudhir Kumar, Hostel Warden Dr. Kamaldeep, Supervisor Rishi Suhag, PRO Pankaj Nain, and other officers and employees were present during the meeting.
