Ludhiana, December 19, 2023: The Directorate of Human Resource Management Centre of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University has successfully conducted an Induction Orientation Training Programme tailored for newly recruited faculty in the field of veterinary sciences.

Dr. Inderjeet Singh, Vice Chancellor quoted that this pioneer comprehensive training of the vet varsity was designed to empower the recently appointed faculty with the necessary tools and knowledge so that they are well-prepared to contribute to the university's mission of advancing veterinary education, research, and practice.

Dr. L.D. Singla, Director of the Centre apprised that the programme covered a wide array of topics, ranging from academic strategies, institutional policies to research and extension methodologies.  Interactive case studies and visits were arranged to various departments, offices of the university, Central Institute of Post Harvest Technology, Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute and Skill Development Centre, Punjab Agricultural University to provide practical experiences aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world applications.

During the programme a renowned Veterinarian Dr. Raminder Natt from Chicago USA, an alumnus of the institute delivered a guest lecture on “Power of integrative medicine: additional tools in your toolbox”. Such sessions not only enriched the training content but also provided a platform for networking and collaboration within the veterinary community.

During the concluding ceremony Dr. H.S. Banga, Registrar of the university much-admired the comprehensive nature of the training programme and highlighted its significance in shaping the future of veterinary education and research. He expressed optimism about the positive impact of these types of programmes.

Dr. Paramjit Kaur and Venus Bansal, the organizing secretary, were applauded for their role in planning and executing the event successfully.
