Vet Varsity flags off undergraduate students to Malaysia for training

Ludhiana, July 14, 2023: Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana flagged off 9 B.Tech Dairy Technology (Batch 2019) students from College of Dairy Science and Technology (CODST) for an international training programme on “Bioactive Peptide Extraction and Identification” at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Malaysia from 13th July, 2023. 

Dr. R.S. Sethi, Dean, CODST informed that the training is for two weeks from 13th July to 27th July and is sponsored by World Bank and NAHEP, ICAR funded Institutional Development Plan (IDP) operational at vet varsity. He applauded the students for being selected for this training and advised them to attend the training with curiosity and in an interactive manner so as to enhance their professional competencies. Dr. Gan Chee Yuen, Associate Professor, Analytical Biochemistry Research Centre, USM, Malaysia is hosting the contingent from Varsity to provide practical demonstration on various advanced laboratory techniques in bioactive peptide extraction and identification. 

Dr Varinder Pal Singh, Incharge IDP, CODST congratulated the students for getting this opportunity and advised them to undergo the training with keen interest and establish links for pursuing higher studies abroad. Dr. Inderjeet Singh, Vice Chancellor conveyed best wishes to the students and motivated them to work hard to acquire new skills and share these new skills with other students after coming back from the training. He added that the International academic and research linkages developed under IDP-NAHEP of ICAR will essentially help the students to shape their future academic career.
