VC PU hosted first Research Advisory Council meeting

Chandigarh, April 26, 2023: The Vice Chancellor Panjab University Prof Renu Vig hosted the first Research Advisory Council meeting. This meeting consisted of Directors from various CRIKC institutions. Dr. Vivek Lal (PGI), Prof Jayaraman Gowrishankar (IISER), Dr Sanjeev Khosla (IMTECH), Dr Dulal Panda (NIPER), Dr Ashwani Pareek (NABI-CIAB), Prof BR Gurjar (NITTTR), Dr RK Aggarwal (CRRID) attended the meeting. as briefed by Prof Harsh Nayyar (Director RDC), PU. 

Prof Vig welcomed the Directors and expressed her desire to integrate the research activities amongst the Institutions to promote inter-disciplinary  work.
 
The Directors agreed to create various common activities through CRIKC platform so that synergy can be better established. Prof Gaurav Verma, Coordinator CRIKC highlighted the need for connectivity at the level of students and researchers for creating a strong network. He also talked about associating the technology business incubators of the institutions, which was consented by all the Directors.     

Prof Nayyar concluded the meeting by stressing the need for better resources and knowledge sharing amongst institutions. It was decided to motivate faculty and scientists to work for translational research and cater to the needs of industry and society. A lunch was hosted by the Vice-Chancellor in the PU main guest house in honour of all the Directors.
