Rohtak, September 1, 2025: Dada Lakhmi Chand State University of Performing and Visual Arts (DLC SUPVA) today witnessed an inspiring initiative as Vice-Chancellor Dr. Amit Arya led the Cleanliness and Plastic-Free Campaign on campus under the ongoing Sewa Pakhwada. The campaign saw enthusiastic participation from students, faculty, and staff members, who came together to clean the entire campus with their own hands, setting a powerful example of collective responsibility.
The exercise was aimed at spreading awareness about the importance of cleanliness and environmental sustainability. By personally leading the initiative, the Vice-Chancellor underscored that true change begins when leaders and communities act together with shared commitment.
Speaking on the occasion, VC Dr. Amit Arya emphasized that such campaigns must bring about a cultural shift. “Cleanliness is not the job of a few—it is the responsibility of all. At SUPVA, we want to build a culture where every individual feels accountable for preserving the environment. If we truly care about our health and future generations, we must adopt cleanliness and sustainability as everyday habits, not occasional acts,” he said. Dr. Arya also urged students to maintain personal hygiene and protect their health in view of rising pollution levels, adding that small steps in daily life can lead to big changes in society.
Following the cleanliness drive, the Vice-Chancellor, accompanied by Registrar Dr. Gunjan Malik Manocha, inspected all faculties of the university to ensure that hygiene standards are being maintained.
The Registrar Registrar Dr. Gunjan Malik Manocha lauded the active involvement of the students and staff, noting, “The campaign reflects the spirit of DLC SUPVA, where discipline, creativity, and social responsibility go hand in hand. By participating directly, our students have learned that environmental preservation is a shared duty, and such values will stay with them for life.”
The campaign reinforced the message that maintaining a clean and plastic-free environment is essential for both individual well-being and the collective future.
