Vardhman Special Steels Launches ‘Women Digital Literacy Project – VSSL Mera Bill App’ in Ludhiana
Vardhman Special Steels Limited, under its CSR initiative Nari Shakti and in association with the District Administration, Ludhiana, launched the Women Digital Literacy Project – VSSL Mera Bill App for women micro-entrepreneurs of Ludhiana district.
Ludhiana, November 10, 2025: Vardhman Special Steels Limited, under its CSR initiative Nari Shakti and in association with the District Administration, Ludhiana, launched the Women Digital Literacy Project – VSSL Mera Bill App for women micro-entrepreneurs of Ludhiana district.
The two-day training programme, aimed at empowering Self Help Groups (SHGs) and Community Resource Persons (CRPs) with digital and financial literacy, was inaugurated by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Amarjit Bains and Jasdev Sekhon, Additional Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Ludhiana, along with Lead District Manager (LDM) Ludhiana, Dr. Pooja Chatley, Head, Management Studies, Khalsa College for Women, and representatives from Peabody and Vardhman.
ADC Amarjit Bains appreciated the commendable efforts of Vardhman Special Steels Limited and its Chairman Sachit Jain for their continued contribution to women empowerment through skill and financial literacy initiatives. The training programme focuses on equipping women with knowledge about financial management and the benefits of using the Mera Bill App for promoting business transparency and growth.
Among those present on the occasion were Avtar Singh, Project Officer, ADC Office; Nishant, DPM, PSRLM; Satindee, Manager CSR Admin, VSSL; Nilesh Gupta, Sunny, and others.
