Ludhiana, November 7, 2025: A grand function was organized at Holi Path School, Guru Arjun Dev Nagar, to mark the 150th anniversary of the national song Vande Mataram. The event was chaired by Leena Taparia, Director of the school and Vice President of the BJP State Women’s Front. District BJP President Rajnish Dhiman, along with BJP State Core Group members Jiwan Gupta and Parveen Bansal, graced the occasion as special guests.
The program began with patriotic performances by the school children, filling the atmosphere with a spirit of devotion and national pride.
Addressing the gathering, District BJP President Rajneesh Dhiman said that the song, composed in 1875, not only strengthened India’s freedom struggle but also continues to guide the nation’s journey. Expressed in Sanskrit and Bengali, Vande Mataram unites the country through the spirit of the Motherland. “Vande Mataram is not merely a political slogan, but a spiritual energy that binds Indians together,” he said.
Jiwan Gupta, while speaking on the occasion, said that today India is creating a new identity globally through remarkable achievements such as Chandrayaan, digital transformation, and a rapidly growing economy. “Our connection with our culture is the foundation of this progress, and Vande Mataram serves as a vehicle for this cultural consciousness,” he added.
Leena Taparia urged the children and youth to learn the history of the national song, understand the meaning of its words, and translate patriotism into meaningful action. She said that such programs ignite the flame of patriotism among the younger generation.
