Vandana Luthra shares experiences of her life at Ludhiana

Ludhiana, February 26: VLCC Founder & Mentor Vandana Luthra- an Awardee of Padma Shri on Wednesday shared experiences of her life with city women who are awakened towards their beauty and health. She stayed here for sometime during her Punjab visit after paying her obeisance at Sri Harimandir Sahib. She had visited Sri Harimandir Sahib for the first time after being awarded Padma Shri. 55-year-old  Vandana Luthra also reveals her decades-old memories when she had entered into the world of beauty.
Vandana Luthra reveals that at the initial stage her father was not ready to allow her to go out of home. But she managed to convince her father and started learning hair cutting. During this period she observed that most of the women visiting to salon were suffering from overweight. Most women were worried about their skin and beauty. Then she decided to get complete training and went to various countries such as London, Paris and Germany. Finally, she was able to get complete perfection. At the initial stage, she began her own work under banner of VLCC at a small place in basement in Safdarganj in Delhi way back in 1989 having merely three employees. VLCC has now become a brand name across the world. More than 6,000 people are employed in VLCC now. Of these people, 75 per cent are women. Presently, VLCC Health Care Ltd a Corporate house ,runs 230 centers in India and abroad. VLCC also imparts training to the youths so that they may become self dependant.  It has already landed its more than 250 products in the market.
Vandana Luthra who is known among the 13 empowered women across the country, has now become grandmother. She opines that discipline is must for properly maintaining health and beauty.  She says that one must keep on filling colours in life if one wants to live a beautiful life. Further revealing her philosophy of life, she says that first love yourself and then share it with others.
During her interaction with city women she also gave certain beauty tips to them.
On the occasion, she also honoured a few women who were successful in reducing their weight after visiting VLCC centre here. She says that the objective of VLCC is not to earn money. Rather, she wants to bring 25-year-long war against obesity to its logical end where people shall always lead healthy and beautiful life.
She reveals name of a few women who were able to get reduce their weight. These women were as under:
Kalpana Singh, Home Maker Age 42, who reduced 19 Kg in just 7 months, Ritu Kumar, Students, Age 23, reduced 11 Kg, in just 3 months, Dr. Avinash, Cardiologist, Age 37, reduced 15 Kg, reduced in 4 months. Apart from it many clients reduced 5-10 kg, in short span of time.
