Urban Development Minister inspects construction works in Smart City Dharamshala

Dharamshala: Urban Development, Housing, Town Planning and Cooperation Minister Suresh Bhardwaj inspected various works being done in the Smart City at Dharamshala on Tuesday. He directed the departmental officers to complete these works within the stipulated time. Minister also inspected the smart classrooms to be built at a cost of Rs 3.5 crore and sports ground at a cost of Rs 2 crore at the local government senior secondary school (Boys). These classrooms will be equipped with modern facilities such as digital course material, interactive smart board, projector, IP cameras, internet and matching furniture. And children will get facilities for sports like basketball, volleyball, badminton, football etc in the proposed sports ground.

After this, the U D Minister inspected the houses to be built at a cost of Rs 16.51 crore under the Integrated Housing and Slum Development Program. 168 houses and one community building are being built under this scheme.

Bhardwaj said, “The ongoing construction works under Smart City will now be expedited after the Kovid-19 lockdown and the pending works will be completed soon . There is no shortage of funds for smart city construction works as a suitable budget has been provided by the central government as well as the state government.”
