Upcoming Punjabi film ‘Posti’ postponed due to novel coronavirus

Chandigarh: After the unfortunate outbreak of Novel Corona Virus, the whole world has been put on halt for some time. Considering the importance of health and hygiene and threat of this epidemic disease, the central government urged people to stay safe and to avoid gathering at public places. Keeping in mind, most of the educational institutes, malls and theatres are closed. To follow this most of movies are delayed, and the next name in this list is most awaited Punjabi film ‘Posti’ has also been postponed. Recently, the producer of the film Gippy Grewal from Humble Motion Pictures took his social media account to make an official announcement for the same.
Sharing his thoughts about this, Gippy Grewal said, “This time what we should focus more is everyone’s health and safety. So, we have finally postponed the release date of the film. At this moment, I will just say take care of yourself and your loved ones. Any update regarding the release will be announced soon.”
Director of the film, Rana Ranbir said, “This is very unfortunate, we just hope that this time will pass soon and we will be able to overcome this also. I wish everyone safety and health. For Posti we were equally excited to release this as much as you were anticipated to watch it. However, this is not in anyone’s control.”
 Rana Ranbir helmed ‘Posti’ features Prince Kanwaljit, Babbal Rai, Raghveer Boli, Surilie Gautam in lead roles. The story and screenplay of the film are written is Rana Ranbir himself. Prince Kanwaljit has written the dialogues of the film. Gippy Grewal and Ravneet Kaur Grewal has produced this project. Vinod Aswal and Bhana LA are co-producers.
Posti was slated to release on 20th March 2020. The next release is yet to be announced.
