UP man tied with chains & beaten, 1 arrested

Hapur, June 24 (HS): A man was allegedly bound with chains and thrashed in Uttar Pradesh's Hapur district over a monetary disagreement. After a video of the event went viral on social media, authorities detained one of the suspects. Mukesh Mishra, a senior police officer, stated that a video on social media showed a man being held hostage, chained and abused. After taking notice of the situation, the police opened an investigation and detained the suspects. Further investigations are being conducted into the situation.
