The first two-day executive meeting of the All India University Employees Federation, held at the Institute of Hotel and Tourism Management (IHTM) auditorium of MDU, concluded on Saturday. Presidents, former presidents, and office-bearers of university employee associations from various states across the country, including Haryana, participated in the meeting. They engaged in extensive deliberations regarding employees' service interests, the strengthening of the federation, and the challenges facing higher education institutions.
Rohtak, July 4, 2026: The first two-day executive meeting of the All India University Employees Federation, held at the Institute of Hotel and Tourism Management (IHTM) auditorium of MDU, concluded on Saturday. Presidents, former presidents, and office-bearers of university employee associations from various states across the country, including Haryana, participated in the meeting. They engaged in extensive deliberations regarding employees' service interests, the strengthening of the federation, and the challenges facing higher education institutions.
During this two-day meeting, detailed discussions were held on issues such as service-related problems, promotions, working conditions, employee welfare, improved administrative systems within universities, and strengthening coordination among employee associations. Delegates agreed on making joint efforts at the national level more effective to safeguard the rights and interests of employees.
On the second day of the meeting, MDU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Milap Punia interacted with the federation's office-bearers and stated that the role of employees is paramount in the progress of a university. It is the efficiency, dedication, and commitment of employees that define an institution's identity. He affirmed that the university administration remains committed to protecting employee interests, ensuring a better work environment, and maintaining continuous dialogue. He added that such national platforms play a vital role not only in the exchange of experiences but also in fostering a better work culture within higher education institutions.
MDU Registrar Prof. Sandeep Bansal remarked that university employees are true partners in the institution's progress. He noted that platforms like the All India University Employees Federation provide employees with opportunities to share experiences, deliberate on issues concerning service interests, and promote a better work culture in higher education institutions. He expressed confidence that the suggestions emerging from the meeting would prove instrumental in further strengthening the interests of university employees across the country.
Director of Public Relations Sunit Mukherjee stated that effective coordination between employees and the administration forms the foundation of any university's success. He stated that a time-bound resolution to the employees' issues would be achieved only through mutual dialogue and coordination.
Suresh Kaushik, President of the MDU Non-Teaching Employees' Union, mentioned that at the conclusion of the meeting, office-bearers of the federation reiterated their resolve to work together to safeguard the interests of university employees, strengthen organizational unity, and foster a quality-oriented and accountable work culture within higher education institutions.
Representatives from employee organizations across various states and universities participated in the meeting and shared their views on issues concerning employee welfare. Attendees included Bharat Vyas (Acting President, All India University Employees' Federation), Charan Das Athwal (President, All Haryana University and College Employees' Union), Naresh Shastri (State President, Sarv Karamchari Sangh Haryana), Rakesh Yadav (President, All Rajasthan University Non-Teaching Employees' Union), Suresh Kaushik (President, MDU Non-Teaching Employees' Union), Prem Singh Sajwan (Vice-President), Dr. Vijay Pal, Dr. Rajesh Sharma, Wazir Singh (President, UHSR), Suresh Kumar (President, DCRUST), Neelkanth Sharma, Rajwant Kaur (President, Kurukshetra University), Ravindra Singh (Gurugram University), Harbindu Vats (President, LUVAS), Kuldeep Gulia (President, CBLU), and Kuldeep Chaudhary (IGU, Meerpur).
