Chandigarh, February 25, 2026: United Sikhs, an international human rights and humanitarian organization, participated in Mela – Celebration of Diversity (Vimarsh 2026), a two-day Art, Culture, and Literature Festival that commenced today at the Panjab University campus, Chandigarh.
Guided by the Sikh principles of seva (selfless service), sarbat da bhala (well-being of all), and social justice, United Sikhs works globally to protect human rights, empower communities, and advance dignity and equality, particularly for marginalized and displaced populations.
The festival brings together artists, writers, academics, students, and civil-society representatives to foster dialogue on pluralism and inclusion through art, literature, music, and public discussion. United Sikhs’ participation underscores its continued commitment to creating inclusive platforms that bridge culture, community engagement, and human rights advocacy.
Dr. Manpreet Kaur Gill, Economic Consultant, United Sikhs, stated, “Cultural festivals like Mela play a vital role in connecting human-rights discourse with lived community experiences. We are honoured to engage with students and the wider public to strengthen conversations around dignity, justice, and collective responsibility.”
