UIPS held webinar on pharma service industry

Chandigarh: University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Panjab University, Chandigarh  held webinar today on "Pharmaceuticals Service Industry – The Multiverse of Opportunities" by Mr. Manish Arora, Associate Director, IQVIA, an American multinational company serving the combined industries of health information technology and clinical research, UK under UIPS Expert Talk Series.
Mr. Manish Arora initiated the talk sharing few facts and figures pertaining to the growth of pharmaceutical companies worldwide. He apprised the audience of the emerging role of pharmaceutical service industries, with Data, Analytics, Consulting and Technology being their core components. He briefed about syndicated and customized data types used by these companies like drug sales, promotional data, market forecasting, financial data, market research, pharmacovigilance, systematic reviews, product forecasting and clinical trial/pipeline data etc.
Professor Indu Pal Kaur, Chairperson, UIPS; Secretary, IPA Panjab Branch and President IIC-UIPS extended a cordial welcome and Professor Poonam Piplani, Convener, lecture organising team of UIPS introduced the speaker, Mr. Manish Arora who is currently the Associate Director, IQVIA, UK with experience of more than 12 years in pharmaceutical service sector. He is also the proud alumnus of UIPS.
The talk was followed by Q&A session and was concluded successfully with a note of thanks by the Chairperson Professor Indu Pal Kaur and Professor Poonam Piplani. Around 115 participants joined the webinar which included students, researchers, UIPS faculty and distinguished guests.
