UIPS faculties bagged DST research grants
In recent announcements of results of various schemes (CRG, SURE and CSRI) of Department of Science and Technology New Delhi, 5 faculties and one fellow of University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Panjab University received research grants amounting to more than 2crores.

Chandigarh, May 16, 2023: In recent announcements of results of various schemes (CRG, SURE and CSRI) of Department of Science and Technology New Delhi, 5 faculties and one fellow of University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Panjab University received research grants amounting to more than 2crores. The grantees are Professor Kanwaljit Chopra, Former Chairperson UIPS and Head Pharmacology Division; Dr Anurag Kuhad, Dr Sangeeta PilkhwalSah, Assistant Professors; Dr Gurpal Singh, Dr SandipV Pawar, UGC-Assistant Professors and Dr Manish Jain, Ramalingaswami Fellow. The grants are received for high-end research in the areas of colorectal cancer, autism spectrum disorder, fluorescence based DNA-RNA hybrid photosensor diagnostic for early stage Alzheimer's disease and occlusive vascular disorder.
The grants will enhance the already existing quality research ecosystem of UIPS.
