UILS Panjab University Organises Freshers for Its Incoming Batch

Chandigarh, September 15, 2026: The University Institute of Legal Studies (UILS), Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh, organised Nuovelle-Fresher’s 2026, a Fresher’s Party for the incoming students of B.A./B.Com. LL.B. and LL.M. programmes. The event was filled with energy, joy, and camaraderie as the department welcomed the new batch into the UILS family.
Director of UILS, Prof. Shruti Bedi extended a welcome to the freshers in her address, emphasising the importance of balancing academic rigour with cultural and social experiences that enrich student life at PU. Highlighting the importance of clear articulation, she emphasised nurturing lasting friendships, which are vital in the field of law.
The programme was graced by the senior distinguished faculty members from the department. The event sparkled with music and dance performances from diverse regions such as Punjab, Haryana, Himachal and others, which became the highlight of the celebration, showcasing the talent and creativity of the student community.
The much-anticipated titles of Miss. Freshers and Mr. Freshers were conferred upon Navkirat Kaur and Yuvraj Singh respectively.
The event was coordinated by Dr. Anupam Bahri and Dr. Sunny Sharma, with Dr. Harvinder Singh serving as Assistant Coordinator. Their efforts ensured that Nuovelle-Fresher’s 2026 was a memorable and joyous occasion for all.
