Chandigarh, February 4, 2026: The Career Development Cell (CDC) of the University Institute of Legal Studies (UILS), Panjab University, today organised an expert lecture on “Common Law - Your Vista to the World: Pathways for International Accreditation of Credentials.” 

The lecture was delivered by Lovleen Singh Gill, an internationally trained lawyer and Barrister & Solicitor based in Surrey, Canada.

During the session, Gill outlined the structure of common law systems across jurisdictions and explained the process of international credential recognition. He highlighted jurisdiction-specific accreditation requirements, skill development, and strategic career planning for law graduates seeking to practise abroad. 

The programme was organised under the patronage of Prof. Renu Vig, Vice-Chancellor, Panjab University, and the guidance of Prof. Shruti Bedi, Director, UILS. Academic coordination was undertaken by Prof. Jai Mala and Prof. Virender Kumar Negi, Faculty Coordinators, CDC, UILS.
