UIFT & VD organised spectacular reunion event

Chandigarh, December 23, 2023: UIFT & VD organised a spectacular reunion event, bringing together esteemed alumni, current students, and faculty members in a memorable evening filled with camaraderie, entertainment, and reflection. The event was hosted by Ginni Singh, JRF, and Arushi Puri, JRF.

The event kicked off with an engaging Ice Breaker session, fostering connections among the alumni, and setting the tone for an evening of nostalgia and shared experiences. The Chairperson, Dr. Anu H Gupta, warmly welcomed the attendees, expressing gratitude for their presence and setting the stage for the festivities ahead.

The highlight of the evening included a mesmerizing Solo Dance Performance that captivated the audience, followed by insightful sessions where esteemed alumni shared their experiences, insights, and reflections. The exchange of stories and knowledge provided a unique opportunity for both alumni and current students to connect and learn from each other.

The event featured an entertaining Game Session-1, offering a blend of competition and fun with classic games like ‘Dare to Do’ challenges. Students of current Batches showcased their talent with a vibrant Bollywood Dance Performance, adding a touch of glamour to the evening.

An important segment of the event focused on discussions about Enrollment and Registration, Ginni Singh, JRF, provided valuable information for Alumni &current students. 

The Conduction of Elections added an element of participation, allowing attendees to play a role in the alumni association's leadership. Ginni Singh was elected the president of the Executive Committee of UIFT&VD. Harpreet Kaur was elected as the Vice-President and Deepa was elected as the Treasurer of the Executive Committee.

The excitement continued with Game Session 2, a thrilling Treasure Hunt that had participants enthusiastically exploring the venue in pursuit of hidden treasures. Upminder Kaur and Navjot Kaur were the winners of the treasure hunt. The event also featured a soulful poetry recitation by Kulbir, adding a literary touch to the evening.

The current students of UIFT&VD showcased their cultural vibrancy with a captivating Gidda Performance, bringing the essence of tradition to the event. The distribution of Certificates and Souvenirs recognized the achievements and contributions of alumni, leaving a lasting memento of the special evening.

Dr. Raman, expressing gratitude on behalf of the university, delivered a heartfelt Thank You Note, acknowledging the collective efforts that made the event a success. The evening concluded with a delightful High Tea, providing a relaxed setting for further interactions and networking.
