This year, the event was held jointly with the bi-annual festival “Tarang – Khushiyon Ke Sang”, reflecting the spirit of joy, compassion, and sustainability through community participation.

Curated under the leadership of Prof. Prabhdeep Brar, Chairperson, UIFT & VD, and coordinated by Ms. Deepa, Guest Faculty, and Ms. Akanksha Garg, Senior Research Fellow, the event provided a dynamic platform for students and start-ups to showcase creativity and innovation. Participants included NGOs such as Choti Si Asha, the Municipal Corporation’s Nari Kraft, and start-ups like Clayso Handmade, Arnaasai, Whimsical, Design with Kareena, and Kalasheel by Mala Singla, along with UIFT undergraduate students.

The Centre for Social Work’s Tarang – Khushiyon Ke Sang, held at the Student Centre, aimed to promote local enterprise, welfare initiatives, and sustainable practices. Coordinated by Prof. Monica Munjal Singh, Chairperson, and Dr. Gaurav Gaur, Faculty, the event showcased eco-friendly products such as cloth bags, handcrafted jewellery, candles, and homemade goods, highlighting creativity with conscience.

The exhibition featured 50 stalls, including 35 by students of the Centre for Social Work on themes like mental health, gender equality, animal welfare, and environmental protection, and others by UIFT students emphasising upcycled and sustainable fashion. A special highlight was the participation of the Mental Health Club, which organised a Mental Health Awareness Camp under the Dean Student Welfare Office, echoing the message “Let’s Make Panjab University a Mentally Healthy Campus.”

The event drew enthusiastic participation from faculty, students, alumni, and community organisations including Manukhta Di Sewa, Ambuja Foundation, and several Self-Help Groups. The joint celebration stood as a testament to Panjab University’s commitment to fostering creativity, sustainability, and social inclusion through innovation and collaboration.
