The University Institute of Fashion Technology (UIFT) conducted the Independence Day Online Face Painting Competition. The competition was organised by SRF Research Scholar Arushi Puri under the guidance of Chairperson Professor Prabhdip Brar.

Chandigarh, August 18, 2025: The University Institute of Fashion Technology (UIFT) conducted the Independence Day Online Face Painting Competition. The competition was organised by SRF Research Scholar Arushi Puri under the guidance of Chairperson Professor Prabhdip Brar.
As many as fifteen students from both BSc and MSc Fashion Technology programs participated in the competition. Participants showcased their creativity by painting the faces of someone they know in patriotic and artistic styles.
After careful evaluation, Manpreet Kaur from BSc 3rd semester received the “Most Creative Face Painting Award” for her uniquely imaginative work.
The runner-up, Garima, also from BSc 3rd semester, was honored with the “Best Patriotic Representation Award” for beautifully presenting India’s map on the face in a unique way to celebrate Independence Day.
The event highlighted UIFT’s dedication to fostering artistic talent and creative expression among students while celebrating the spirit of Independence Day.
