UIAMS Students Gain Industry Insights During Visit to Tynor
Students of the University Institute of Applied Management Sciences (UIAMS), Panjab University, undertook an enriching industrial visit to Tynor Orthotics Pvt. Ltd., a leading Indian manufacturer and global exporter of high-quality orthopedic appliances, rehabilitation aids, and fracture supports.
Chandigarh, April 23, 2026: Students of the University Institute of Applied Management Sciences (UIAMS), Panjab University, undertook an enriching industrial visit to Tynor Orthotics Pvt. Ltd., a leading Indian manufacturer and global exporter of high-quality orthopedic appliances, rehabilitation aids, and fracture supports. The UIAMS team, comprising 46 students, was accompanied by Prof. Anupreet Kaur Mavi, Director, UIAMS; Dr. Amandeep Singh Marwaha, Training-cum-Placement Officer; along with faculty members Dr. Rachita Sambyal and Dr. Naveen Kumar, who provided guidance and support during the visit.
The session commenced with an insightful introduction to the company, offering students a comprehensive understanding of Tynor’s product range, market presence, and commitment to innovation in orthopedic solutions. This was followed by an inspiring address by Dr. Pushvinder Jit Singh, who shared the remarkable journey of the company. Through his engaging narrative, he highlighted the challenges, vision, and strategic decisions that contributed to establishing Tynor. His address emphasized perseverance, a strong focus on quality, and a customer-centric approach to growth.
Students were then taken on a guided tour of the manufacturing plant of the technical textile division. During the visit, they gained hands-on exposure to modern production systems, including lean management practices and efficient production line processes. They also observed the company’s stringent quality control mechanisms, ensuring high standards across all products.
The Director, UIAMS, appreciated the initiative, stating that such industrial visits play a crucial role in enhancing students’ practical understanding of management concepts. She emphasized that exposure to industry practices helps students connect theoretical knowledge with real-world applications, preparing them to face professional challenges with confidence.
