UIAMS organises Placement Sensitisation Session for MBA Students

Chandigarh, September 21, 2026: The University Institute of Applied Management Sciences (UIAMS), Panjab University, in collaboration with Central Placement Cell, Panjab University, organised an insightful Placement Sensitization Session for the newly admitted MBA students. These sessions are part of UIAMS's continuing efforts, in collaboration with Prof. Meena Sharma, Director, Central Placement Cell, Panjab University, to connect students with alumni and industry experts and sensitise them to career, industry and placement opportunities.
The session featured Ms. Simran, UIAMS alumna, Batch 2021, Banking & Insurance Management, currently working as a Project Manager, and was conducted in the gracious presence of Prof. Anupreet Kaur Mavi, Director, UIAMS and Dr. Amandeep Singh Marwaha, Training-cum-Placement Officer (TPO), UIAMS.
The interactive session provided students with valuable insights into the corporate environment, professional expectations, career development and placement opportunities. Drawing from her professional journey, Simran shared practical experiences regarding workplace responsibilities, challenges, deadlines, teamwork and adapting to changing professional situations.
She emphasised the importance of developing effective communication, confidence, teamwork, adaptability, continuous learning and a positive professional attitude. She also encouraged students to prepare themselves for the corporate world by building both technical and professional competencies and developing the ability to take initiative, solve problems and work effectively under pressure.
The session enabled students to gain a realistic understanding of corporate life and the skills required to become confident, responsible and industry-ready management professionals.
The session was coordinated by the Class Representatives of Retail Management and Banking & Insurance Management —Mohit, Ayushi, Sonal and Jasnoor. The CRs expressed their gratitude to the UIAMS administration, Central Placement Cell and the alumna for providing students with such a meaningful learning opportunity.
