The University Institute of Applied Management Sciences (UIAMS), Panjab University, is observing Anti-Ragging Week 2025 (August 12–18) with a strong message of zero tolerance towards ragging.

Chandigarh, August 12, 2025: The University Institute of Applied Management Sciences (UIAMS), Panjab University, is observing Anti-Ragging Week 2025 (August 12–18) with a strong message of zero tolerance towards ragging. 

The week-long observance, held in line with UGC guidelines and a circular from the Dean of University Instruction (DUI), began today with a pledge-taking ceremony led by Prof. Anupreet Kaur Mavi, Director, UIAMS.

Faculty, staff, and students participated in the inaugural session, reaffirming their commitment to a respectful, safe, and inclusive campus. Anti-ragging posters and awareness materials have been displayed prominently on departmental notice boards to reinforce the message.

Planned by the UIAMS Placement Cell under the coordination of Dr. Amandeep Singh Marwaha, Training and Placement Officer, the week will feature sensitisation drives, student engagement activities, and interactive discussions on the harmful consequences of ragging and available support systems for victims.
