Jalandhar/Kapurthala: The University Grants Commission (UGC) has recognized the courses of Open and Distance Learning (ODL) Programmes of I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU) in continuation of last academic year and allowed University to continue admissions for academic session 2020-21, starting from July 2020 to January 2021 under the category of State University. After receiving the reorganization letter, University announces admission open under ODL Programmes.
Sharing the information, Prof. (Dr.) Ajay Kumar Sharma, Vice Chancellor IKGPTU said that it is a matter of pride for the University that UGC recognized the programmes of IKGPTU. University is already an established brand in Open & Distance Learning. VC Prof. (Dr.) Sharma announced ODL admissions open for ongoing session July 2020-21 intakes. He said that the university has received this recognition for admission to Bachelor Degree level and Master's degree course. The Courses that have been recognized include Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) & BCA (Lateral Entry), Diploma in Computer application (DCA), Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.), Bachelor of Arts (BA-Journalism and Mass Communication) and Master of Commerce.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Sharma congratulated team IKGPTU and gave his best wishes to provide quality education through Distance Education Mode. He assured that distance education students will be provided with world class facilities in learning.
