A delegation of UCPMA, Ludhiana meeting the Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Manish Tewari at Ludhiana, on Saturday.
Ludhiana, March 9, 2013: A delegation of United Cycle and Parts Manufacturers Association (UCPMA), Ludhiana met the Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Manish Tewari under the leadership of Gurmeet Singh Kular, President UCPMA on Saturday.
Tewari was apprised about the discrimination made to the cycle industry in the Union Budget for next fiscal. The delegation put forward certain points to the Union Minister.
Tewari gave a patient hearing to the delegation and assured to resolve the problems.
The delegation said as has been done in the case of textile industry i.e. garments, the cycle industry which has been totally ignored in the new budget should be given relief in shape of abolishing the Central Excise
They further said as has been done in the case of textile industry, bicycle and engineering industry should also be given privilege of Technology Upgradation Scheme in order to boost the industry with modernisation of machinery.
