UBS Ludhiana Organized “Gyanmanthan – 2026”
University Business School, Panjab University Regional Centre, Ludhiana organized an Inter-state quiz contest “Gyanmanthan 2026” today at Ishmeet Singh Music Institute, Ludhiana. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students representing universities, colleges, B-schools and professional institutes from across Punjab.
Ludhiana, January 30, 2026: University Business School, Panjab University Regional Centre, Ludhiana organized an Inter-state quiz contest “Gyanmanthan 2026” today at Ishmeet Singh Music Institute, Ludhiana. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students representing universities, colleges, B-schools and professional institutes from across Punjab. Jaspreet Singh, Director, Supreme Agro Foods Pvt. Ltd. (Uttam) was the Chief Guest for the inaugural ceremony, while Lokesh Jain and Dewankar Jain, Managing Directors, T K Steels graced the occasion as Chief Guests during the prize distribution ceremony.
The event was further enriched by the gracious presence of the Guests of Honour, Nitesh Garg, Head Retail, Findoc; Mamta Sood, General Sales Manager, Northern Hyundai; Lokesh Mehta, Chief Manager Legal, Ludhiana Beverages Pvt. Ltd.; and Dr. Prem Kumar, Executive Director, Munjal Birmingham Centre of Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Their esteemed presence added dignity and significance to the occasion.
Prof. Ashish Virk, Director, Panjab University Regional Centre, Ludhiana, welcomed the guests. In her address, she shared that Gyanmanthan is an annual academic event of UBS Ludhiana, which was started in the year 2012 with the objective of instilling the spirit of healthy competition, knowledge sharing and hard work among the youth. She further informed that the response to this event has always been overwhelming and this year around 20 teams representing universities, colleges, B-schools and institutes from different parts of Punjab participated in the competition.
Prof. Ashish Saihjpal, Coordinator, UBS Ludhiana, stated that UBS Ludhiana has carved a distinct identity in the field of management education through its strong academic culture, disciplined learning environment and continuous focus on overall student development. He also emphasized that apart from academic excellence, the department continuously encourages students to participate in co-curricular and competitive activities like Gyanmanthan, which help in sharpening their analytical thinking, decision-making abilities and team spirit.
The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Reena Aggarwal. The event concluded with the National Anthem.
