Chandigarh, September 18, 2026: University Business School (UBS), Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh, in association with the Central Placement Cell organised a two-day Workshop on Personality Development and Soft Skills.
The workshop, organised on September 9 and September 16, 2026, was aimed at equipping students with essential professional skills and enhancing their communication, confidence, employability and overall professional readiness.
The workshop was conducted under the guidance of Honorary Director Central Placement Cell& Chairperson, University Business School, Prof. Meena Sharma along with Summer Internship Coordinator, Dr. Tilak Raj. The workshop brought together experts from diverse professional backgrounds who delivered informative and practical sessions on various dimensions of personality development and career preparation.
Dr. Amandeep Kahlon, a management professional, consultant, trainer and facilitator with over thirty years of multi-sectoral experience, discussed personality development, human skills, growth mindset, and the importance of managing oneself, others and the environment.
Dr. Sneha Sharma, LinkedIn Branding Strategist, Career Spotlight Coach and Founder of Dream Career University, focused on interview readiness and professional presence. She discussed communication, confidence, body language, personal branding and networking, along with the three pillars of an interview.
Sahil Arora, GDPI and Aptitude mentor since 2013, has an MBA from University Business School, PU and has also worked in the corporate sector. He focused on resume writing and highlighted the importance of creating a clear, relevant and job-specific resume.
Ishwar Sandhu, an educationist with a background in English and Psychology, has more than 18 years of teaching and mentoring experience with government, private and corporate clientele. His session focused on interview skills, confidence, personality and employability.
The speakers provided students with practical guidance on personality development, growth mindset, professional communication, LinkedIn and personal branding, job-specific and ATS-friendly resumes, interview skills and employability.
