Tynor North India Pickleball Cup 2026 Kicks Off with High-Intensity League Matches in Mohali
The much-anticipated Tynor North India Pickleball Cup (NIPC) 2026 commenced on Saturday at the Parvaaaz Sports Arena, Mohali, marking the beginning of an exciting two-day competition featuring some of the top pickleball talent from across the region and other parts of India. Manvesh Singh Sidhu, Divisional Commissioner, Ropar, participated in the opening ceremony of the tourney as the chief guest.
Mohali, April 11, 2026: The much-anticipated Tynor North India Pickleball Cup (NIPC) 2026 commenced on Saturday at the Parvaaaz Sports Arena, Mohali, marking the beginning of an exciting two-day competition featuring some of the top pickleball talent from across the region and other parts of India. Manvesh Singh Sidhu, Divisional Commissioner, Ropar, participated in the opening ceremony of the tourney as the chief guest.
The opening day witnessed high-energy league-stage encounters, with all 10 participating teams in action simultaneously. A total of 20 ties were played out on Day 1, with each tie comprising seven matches across diverse categories, ensuring a dynamic and competitive format. The league is divided into two pools. Pool 'A' consists of RACL Precision Kings, Skyshot Tricity Tycoons, Dwivedi Capitals, Panchkula Panthers, and Artius Tektons, while Pool 'B' includes Yes Ministers Dinkers, GB Legends, Tynor Titans, Tofu Dinkers, and Golden Spartans. League matches were played within the respective pools, setting the stage for an intense battle for qualification.
Speaking on the occasion, Brig H P S Bedi (Retd.), Founder, NIPC, said, “The vision behind NIPC is to create a competitive and inclusive platform that brings together players across age groups and skill levels. We are focused on building a structured league that not only promotes high-quality competition but also contributes to the long-term growth of pickleball in North India.”
The tournament features a unique team structure, with each franchise fielding a squad of 12 players across six categories—Advanced, Intermediate, Youth (13–18), and Seniors (50+)—ensuring a balanced representation of skill levels and age groups. The competition follows a structured tie-based format, with matches including Men’s Doubles (Advanced & Intermediate), Mixed Doubles (Advanced & Intermediate), 50+ Doubles, Youth & Advanced Doubles, and the high-stakes Grand Rally, which carries two points. This format emphasizes both team strategy and player versatility.
Following the conclusion of league matches on Day 1, the top teams from each pool will advance to the knockout stage on April 12. The second day will feature quarter-finals, semi-finals, a third-place playoff, and the much-awaited Grand Finale.
With a well-structured format, strong participation, and competitive spirit on display, the Tynor North India Pickleball Cup 2026 promises to be a landmark event in the region’s growing pickleball calendar.
