Two day workshop on Data Science for Biology at PU

Chandigarh, March 13, 2019: Centre for Systems Biology & Bioinformatics, Panjab University, Chandigarh, has organized two days Introductory Workshop on Data Science for Biology. Dr. Ashok Kumar, Chairperson of Systems Biology & Bioinformatics discussed the usefulness of this workshop. A very specific hand on training program was carried out for 60 participants
from discipline of Bioinformatics, Biophysics, Statistics, and Forensic Science. The students were introduced to conceptual overview of Data Acqisitionon, Data Preparation, and Data Exploration through Visualisation & Statistical data analysis using Statistica.
