Two-day training on energy conservation building code-2017 held at GLADA 

Ludhiana: Bureau of Energy Efficiency with the support of Punjab Energy Development agency has organized a Two-Day Training on Energy Conservation Building Code-2017 at GLADA, Ludhiana on 11th & 12th of November 2020 which is being organized through Ela Green Buildings & Infrastructure Consultants.

The training program commenced with the floral welcome of the chief guest & Guest of Honour.

The chief guest of the program was Parminder Singh Gill, Chief Administrator, GLADA, as a special guest Mr. Sunil Kansal, Chief Engineer, GLADA was present. Mr. Sushil Malhotra, member BOG PEDA, Mr. Anupam Nanda Joint Director PEDA & Ar. Sanjay Goyal, Chairman, IIA was present as Guest of Honour of the Program. The program was attended by Practicing Architects & Engineers from Municipal Corporation, GLADA, Improvement trust & other stakeholders.

The master trainer of the program was Mr. Abu Talha Farooqi, he talked about how the heat can be transfer can be reduced by Building Envelope. The master trainer also showed a case study where a building is designed in such a manner, where the building has reduced its heat load from 100 ft2/Tr to 450 ft2/Tr. The master trainer also showed many case studies where daylighting in a building has been increased just by optimizing the design.

Mr. Sushil Malhotra, member BOG PEDA stated about the energy efficient buildings & initiatives taken by PEDA in state of Punjab, Ar. Sanjay Goyal, Chairman, IIA shared their views about smart city in Ludhiana and IAS Parminder Singh Gill, CA, GLADA shared his views about the energy efficiency scenario in the nation.
