Ludhiana, August 20, 2025: The two-day photo exhibition titled "One Thousand Words," organized by the Ludhiana Photojournalist Association, concluded on a high note on Wednesday.
Held from August 19–20, the event offered a captivating glimpse into Ludhiana's vibrant identity, showcasing diverse facets of city life through the lenses of skilled photographers.
The exhibition drew a diverse audience, including students, traders, academicians, politicians, and business professionals, who experienced a visual journey through Ludhiana and its surroundings. The display featured 42 striking photographs by 21 talented photojournalists from various media houses, capturing everything from bustling marketplaces and serene landscapes to candid portraits and abstract compositions.
The closing ceremony was graced by Chief Guests Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Jain and Padma Shri Onkar Singh Pahwa.
Notable attendees included MLA Kulwant Singh Sidhu, Gurmeet Singh Kular (President, Federation of Industrial & Commercial Organization), Satluj Club General Secretary Akash Ahuja, Rajdeep Singh and Prabhjot Singh (Directors, Richville Group), Punjab Shahi Imam Maulana Habib Ur Rehman Saani Ludhianvi, Ashish Ahuja (General Secretary, Sutlej Club), Subodh Batish (Mess Secretary), Simarpal Singh Bindra (Joint Secretary), Tej Partap Singh Sandhu (Photo Artist), Teja Singh Dhaliwal, and other prominent figures from various sectors.
President of the Ludhiana Photojournalist Association Kuldeep Singh Kala and Chairman Gurmeet Singh highlighted the exhibition’s aim to reflect Ludhiana’s multifaceted essence. "The 42 photographs showcased the city’s spirit, culture, and diversity, captured by our dedicated photojournalists," they said.
Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Jain praised the photographers’ work and encouraged them to make the exhibition an annual event. "Photojournalists play a vital role in showcasing the positive contributions of society. Their lenses help the world see the vibrancy of our surroundings," she remarked.
Padma Shri Onkar Singh Pahwa lauded the event, stating, "This exhibition beautifully captures the essence of Ludhiana. The photographs reflect the skill and dedication of our local photographers, who have brilliantly portrayed the city’s spirit and diversity."
