Ludhiana: Post Graduate Department of English of Gujranwala Guru Nanak Khalsa College, Civil Lines, Ludhiana, organised a two-day International Webinar on ‘Literature in English during COVID-19: Shifting Paradigms’.  The main focus of this webinar is to dive deep into the vast ocean of English Literature and find out those challenges and changes.

Dr. T. S. Anand, former Principal, G.G.N. Khalsa College and Editor-in-Chief of Literary Voice, currently living in Windsor, Canada, in his valedictory address, shared his thought provoking, valuable and insightful views about the topic of the webinar. 

The resource persons of the day were Dr. Kiran Arora, Principal, PCM SD College for Women, Jalandhar spoke on the topic ‘Influence of Spanish Flu Pandemic on T. S. Eliot’s The Waste Land and Dr. Jaydeep Sarangi’s insightful topic was ‘New Trends, Contexts and Texts: Overview of Contemporary Indian English Poetry’. 

Dr. S. P. Singh (former Vice-Chancellor, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar), President, Gujranwala Khalsa Educational Council, Ludhiana said that the P.G. department of English has been flourishing day by day since its inception and this International Webinar is another feather in the hat of its achievements.
Arvinder Singh, honorary General Secretary, Gujranwala Khalsa Educational Council, Ludhiana, expressed a heartfelt gratitude to the chief guest, resource persons and all the participants.

Dr. Arvinder Singh, college Principal, shared a preview of the college which possesses a rich heritage along-with a record-breaking production of ideal and dedicated teachers, devoted leaders, politicians, bureaucrats, and also known as ‘a nursery of Vice-Chancellors’. 

Dr. Sushminderjeet Kaur, Associate Professor & Head of P.G. department of English, said that in the wake of COVID-19 Corona Virus where each and every individual is introspecting and struggling to cop-up with the situation, the people belonging to literature.
