Two-day hands-on workshop on “Reads to Insights: Bulk and Single Cell RNA-Seq” concluded at the Centre for Systems Biology and Bioinformatics, Panjab University (PU).
Chandigarh, March 11, 2026: Two-day hands-on workshop on “Reads to Insights: Bulk and Single Cell RNA-Seq” concluded at the Centre for Systems Biology and Bioinformatics, Panjab University (PU).
The workshop was conducted in the presence of Prof. Latika Sharma, Dean Alumni Relations, along with faculty members from various departments and other participants.
Expert sessions were delivered by Dr. Sherry Bhalla, Scientist at the CSIR–Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology, and Dr. Kumardeep Chaudhary, Principal Scientist at the same institute. Both speakers are alumni of Panjab University. They were joined by Ajay Pratap Singh, Scientist at the CSIR- Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology.
The sessions focused on the analytical frameworks of bulk and single-cell RNA sequencing, along with emerging applications of Artificial Intelligence in biomedical image processing. The workshop combined theoretical discussions with practical demonstrations to provide participants with hands-on training in advanced data analysis.
Around 60 participants, including faculty members and research scholars, attended the workshop and engaged in interactive discussions and practical sessions.
