The North Zone Cultural Centre and the Chandigarh Lalit Kala Academy jointly organized a grand art workshop-cum-competition at Kalagram, Manimajra, under this year's theme "Seva Parv—a Vision of Developed India."

Chandigarh September 28, 2025: The North Zone Cultural Centre and the Chandigarh Lalit Kala Academy jointly organized a grand art workshop-cum-competition at Kalagram, Manimajra, under this year's theme "Seva Parv—a Vision of Developed India."

As many as 200 senior and young artists from various parts of tricity and elsewhere in the country participated at the mega event.

Prominent among those present on the occasion included, besides the Director of North Zone Cultural Centre (NZCC), Mohd Furqan Khan, Naveen of Sanskar Bharti, and Bhim Malhotra, Chairman of the Chandigarh Lalit Kala Academy.

Addressing the participants on the occasion, Mohd Furqan Khan said that it was immensely satisfying to see both the young and senior artists taking part in the event with equal enthusiasm and vigour, adding that such theme events not only helped promote the art but also foster new vision to give a fillip to the idea of integrated nation-building."

Bhim Malhotra on the occasion said, "Seva Parv is an innovative endeavor of the organizers to connect art and culture with social service. The way the participating artists presented a candid glimpse of a 'developed India' on their canvas, which will serve as an inspiration for generations of artists to come.

The workshop was held under two categories -"Professional" and "Student." The top three participants in both the categories will be honored with the attractive cash prizes.

Blending the spirit of art, culture and service, the event will not only offer an opportunity for the artists to showcase their craft and creativity but also providing a platform to realize the vision of a "developed India" through myriad colors.
