Dogs are more than just pets; they are companions, stressbusters, and bundles of unconditional love. On this International Dog Day, our beloved &TV actors share their special bond with their furry friends and how life feels brighter with them around. These include Paras Arora (Jeetu, Gharwali Pedwali), Geetanjali Mishra (Rajesh, Happu Ki Ultan Paltan), and Soma Rathod (Amma, Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai). Paras Arora, aka Jeetu from the upcoming show Gharwali Pedwali, shares, “One of my closest friends has two dogs at his place, Dusty and Oreo, and I adore them. They are like family to me, and I make it a point to spend quality time with them whenever possible. Whether it is playing fetch, taking them for walks, or simply sitting with them while they seek attention, those moments bring me immense joy. The unconditional love and energy they shower on me is truly heartwarming.
Geetanjali Mishra, aka Rajesh from Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, shares, “Dogs have always been very close to my heart, and my Bum Bum is like a child to me. His unique barking reminded me of Lord Shiva’s ‘Bum Bum Bhole,’ and that is how he got his name. His presence fills my home with positivity, and no matter how tiring my day has been, he always manages to lift my spirits. Whenever I visit friends who have dogs, I end up spending more time with their pets than with them, which they often tease me about. On International Dog Day, I wish to spread the message that compassion towards these voiceless beings can make the world a much kinder place.” Vidisha Srivastava, aka Anita Bhabi from Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai, shares, “My dog Foxy is not just a pet, he is like my best friend and family. His playful nature, loyalty, and the way he understands my moods make him very special to me. No matter how hectic my day is, Foxy’s affection instantly uplifts me and fills my home with warmth. I always believe Dogs make us better humans. Happy International Dog Day to all the fellow dog lovers out there.”
