This initiative aims to boost the confidence and motivation of learners with special needs, providing them with a platform to showcase their talents and foster a sense of camaraderie.

Jalandhar, February 29, 2024: CT Group continues its longstanding tradition of supporting various sections of society by hosting Umang 2.0, the annual sports meet of Udaan Special School for the specially-abled. This initiative aims to boost the confidence and motivation of learners with special needs, providing them with a platform to showcase their talents and foster a sense of camaraderie.

Under the guidance of seasoned psychologist and mentor Meenu Shahi, the founder of Udaan Special School, learners are nurtured through carefully crafted curriculums designed to meet their unique needs. Umang 2.0 featured a variety of sports activities, including relay races, long jumps, back throws, and softball throws, aimed at enhancing coordination and teamwork among the students.

The presence of the Blackia 2-star cast at the event brought inspiration and motivation to the learners, uplifting their spirits.

The event witnessed remarkable performances from the participants, with notable winners including Harsh Luna in the 50m, 100m, and relay races, Harmandeep Kaur in the 50m and relay races, Harmeet Singh in the 50m, 100m races, and relay, Shaheen in softball, Jasmeet in the 25m race, and Sahibjot in the long jump.

The occasion was graced by esteemed guests, including the President of the National Association of Reproductive Child Health of India (NARCHI) Dr. Sushma Chawla, Councillor of Model Town Jalandhar, Arun Arora, members of Inner Wheel Jalandhar, Neelam Gupta, Shashi Gupta, various volunteers, teachers, and mentors of Udaan Special School. Vice Chairman of CT Group, Harpreet Singh, also honored the event with his presence.
