Chandigarh, June 8, 2026: Marking World Environment Day 2026, Trident Group organised a week-long series of sustainability-focused activities across its manufacturing locations at Sanghera, Dhaula and Budhni under the theme "Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future." The initiatives brought together employees and local communities in efforts aimed at water conservation, afforestation, waste reduction, recycling and environmental awareness.
The week commenced with employees across all locations taking a sustainability pledge, committing to responsible water usage, waste management, recycling, circular economy practices and the reduction of single-use plastics.
As part of the campaign, Green Kaizen opportunities were identified across operations to optimise water consumption, minimise waste generation, improve process efficiency and promote cleaner workplaces. The initiative reflects Trident's continued focus on integrating sustainability into day-to-day operations.
Plantation drives conducted during the week resulted in the planting of more than 2,100 saplings across various locations, taking the cumulative number of trees planted by the company to over 11.90 lakh.
In support of the "Say No to Plastic Bags" campaign, employees distributed eco-friendly jute bags at Kusht Ashram in Barnala and the local vegetable market, encouraging the adoption of sustainable alternatives to single-use plastics.
At Trident's Budhni facility, employees participated in the Nirmal Narmada campaign and removed nearly six tonnes of waste from the banks of the Narmada River. A five-kilometre walkathon from Dusshera Maidan to Budhni Ghat was also organised with participation from employees and representatives of the local administration.
Environmental Week activities served as a platform to strengthen awareness, encourage community participation and reinforce Trident Group's commitment to sustainable development and environmental stewardship. The company said such initiatives would continue to play a key role in advancing its long-term sustainability goals and creating a greener future.
