Trident Celebrates World Environment Day 2025 with Impactful Activities to “Beat Plastic Pollution”

Chandigarh June 6, 2025: Trident Limited, reaffirmed its commitment to sustainable development and environmental stewardship by celebrating World Environment Day 2025 under the global theme “Beat Plastic Pollution.” The company conducted a series of impactful awareness and conservation activities across Barnala district and its Dhola Plant campus, fostering community engagement and advocating for eco-friendly alternatives.
In a concerted effort to reduce plastic use, Trident volunteers distributed reusable cloth bags at key public locations including Sabzi Mandi, Kutchery Chowk, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Park, Kusht Ashram, and Chintu Park. These bags, along with interactive awareness sessions at the sites, aimed to sensitize the public to the harmful effects of plastic pollution and promote sustainable living practices.
A tree plantation drive was held at the Dhola Campus, reflecting Trident’s long-term environmental vision. To encourage a plastic-free work environment, reusable glass bottles were distributed to employees. In addition, an inspiring event was organized at the Senior Citizens Committee, Barnala, where community elders and invited guests shared valuable insights on the importance of environmental protection and sustainable lifestyles.
Padma Shri Rajinder Gupta, Chairman Emeritus of Trident Group, graced the plantation event at Dhola Campus and addressed the gathering with a passionate appeal: “Earth now needs actions, not just intentions. At Trident, we have not only banned the entry of plastic at our gates, but have also taken many more concrete steps to protect the environment – as we believe it is a collective responsibility towards our future generations. Let us all be the change that nature desperately needs today.”
