Tricity Residents to Run with Saina Nehwal in SK Tricity Marathon on September 27 to Combat Drugs and Cybercrime
Leading figures from sports and administration are set to join the SK Tricity Marathon on September 27, aimed at raising awareness against drug abuse and cybercrime. International badminton icon Saina Nehwal will run in the marathon, while Chandigarh SSP Kanwardeep Kaur, Mayor Saurabh Joshi, Sanskriti Yuva Sansthan President Pandit Suresh Mishra, and SK Finance Director Yash Setia will grace the event to encourage participants.

Chandigarh, September 25, 2026: Leading figures from sports and administration are set to join the SK Tricity Marathon on September 27, aimed at raising awareness against drug abuse and cybercrime. International badminton icon Saina Nehwal will run in the marathon, while Chandigarh SSP Kanwardeep Kaur, Mayor Saurabh Joshi, Sanskriti Yuva Sansthan President Pandit Suresh Mishra, and SK Finance Director Yash Setia will grace the event to encourage participants.
The event's official t-shirt and bib were unveiled at the Chandigarh Press Club on Friday, along with the announcement of the routes across three race categories. Organiser Mukesh Mishra, SK Finance National Business Head Atin Gupta, National Head of Marketing Anshul Jain, All India Brahmin Mahasabha (Punjab-Chandigarh-Haryana) Executive President Deepak Sharma, and Dinesh Dixit were present at the press conference.
Race Routes: Start and Finish at Chandigarh Club Ground
According to organizers, the start and finish point for all three categories will be the Chandigarh Club Ground, Sector 1:
* 21 km Half Marathon: Starts from Chandigarh Club, proceeds via Uttar Marg, Rose Garden, and the Sukhna Lake walkway to the Regulatory End, returns to Chandigarh Club via U-turn, and completes this loop twice.
* 10 km Run: Follows the same route from Chandigarh Club via Uttar Marg, Rose Garden, and Sukhna Lake walkway to the Regulatory End, returning to Chandigarh Club via U-turn.
* 3 km Fun Run: Runs 1.5 km along Uttar Marg from Chandigarh Club before taking a U-turn back to the finish line.
Cash Prizes and Bib Collection Details
* 21 km Category: First, second, and third-place winners (men and women) will receive ₹11,000, ₹7,000, and ₹5,100 respectively.
* 10 km Category: Top three finishers in both categories will take home ₹7,100, ₹5,100, and ₹3,100.
* Bib Expo: Will be held on September 26 at the Chandigarh Club from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
