Tribute to the Leader Who Served the Poor, Respect to Chirag Paswan in Mohali

Mohali, October 8, 2026: The Punjab State Committee of Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) organised a heartfelt tribute programme in Mohali to honour the sacred memory of its founder, former Union Minister and respected mass leader, Padma Bhushan Ram Vilas Paswan.
The programme was held at a hotel here on Thursday. Dr. K.P. Chaudhary, National General Secretary of Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), In-charge of Punjab, Union Territory of Chandigarh and Scheduled Caste & Scheduled Tribe Affairs, attended as the Chief Guest, while Punjab Convener Bawa R.P. Singh presided over the programme. Senior Punjab State Vice President Pankaj Bhardwaj was also specially present.
Senior party leader Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal Bhukhri Kalan, along with senior leaders, office-bearers, district committee members and dedicated party workers from across Punjab, paid their heartfelt respects to Late Ram Vilas Paswan and remembered his extraordinary life of public service.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. K.P. Chaudhary said that October 8 is not merely a date, but a day of remembrance, gratitude and renewed resolve. He said Late Ram Vilas Paswan devoted his entire life to public service and remained a powerful and compassionate voice for the poor, deprived, backward and weaker sections of society.
He said Paswan’s lifelong commitment to social justice, equality, dignity and inclusive development has left an enduring legacy in Indian public life. His deep connection with ordinary people and his sincere concern for those deprived of opportunities and dignity continue to inspire generations of public servants.
The leaders also expressed their heartfelt respect and appreciation for Union Minister for Food Processing Industries and National President of Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), Chirag Paswan. They said that Chirag Paswan is carrying forward his respected father’s ideals, vision and legacy of public service with sincerity, courage, dedication and determination.
They said that the truest tribute to Late Ram Vilas Paswan is not merely to remember him, but to sincerely follow the path he showed—the path of service, dignity, social harmony, justice and compassion for the underprivileged.

Addressing the press conference held after the tribute programme, Dr. K.P. Chaudhary made an important political announcement that Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) will contest all 117 Assembly seats in Punjab on its own.
He called upon party workers to work with renewed energy and dedication, reach out to people at the grassroots level and go village to village, city to city and door to door to strengthen the organisation and communicate the party’s vision of public welfare, social justice and development.
Dr. Chaudhary said that the party will work towards building a strong grassroots organisation across Punjab and will prepare its workers with discipline, sincerity, humility and commitment for the forthcoming Assembly elections.
A blood donation camp was also organised on the occasion as a meaningful tribute to Late Ram Vilas Paswan. Party leaders said that donating blood to help save precious human lives is a noble expression of the spirit of service and humanity that remained central to Paswan’s public life.
Dr. Chaudhary said that although Late Ram Vilas Paswan is no longer physically present among us, his work, thoughts, values and ideals will remain alive forever. His legacy will continue to inspire future generations to stand with the poor, deprived and vulnerable and to serve society with honesty and compassion.
Among those who paid their respects were senior party leaders and office-bearers, including Punjab Spokesperson and State Vice President Vishwadeep Singh, State President Kisan Cell Makhut Singh, State President OBC Cell Satpal Singh, Ajit Singh, State President SC Cell Simranjit Singh, State President Mahila Cell Ritika Sachdeva, Punjab Pradesh Committee Vice President Kunwar Ranjan Singh, Vice President Manjit Singh Sanghera, State Vice President Kamlu, Labour Cell leader Praveen Kumar and Punjab Pradesh Committee General Secretary, along with other party leaders, members and workers.
The gathering concluded with a solemn pledge to strengthen the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) across Punjab and to carry forward the enduring legacy of Late Ram Vilas Paswan through honest public service, social justice, respect for every section of society and an unwavering commitment to serving people from every corner of Punjab.
