Training sessions held for apprising the sectors officer and supervisors about the working of EVMs

Ludhiana, April 22, 2024: For apprising the Sector Officers and Supervisors of the working of Electronic Voting Machines (EVM), Assistant Returning Officers (ARO) organised a training session in their respective constituencies  on Monday.

These sessions were held in Ludhiana East, Ludhiana North, Samrala, Raikot and Jagraon constituencies.

MC Joint Commissioner-cum-ARO Ludhiana East Chetan Bunger said that working on the directions of District Election Officer (DEO)-cum-Deputy Commissioner (DC) Sakshi Sawhney, the training sessions are being organised for the Sector Officers and Supervisors for apprising them of the working of EVMs.

He said that sector officers and supervisors assist the Presiding Officers during voting, so they have to be trained about the working of the EVMs.

For this purpose, separate EVMs are provided by election commission and training was done using those machines only. 

Similarly, training sessions were held in Ludhiana North, Samrala, Raikot and Jagraon constituencies.

Stating that regular training sessions would be organised in this regard, the AROs reiterated the commitment of the district administration to hold free, fair and transparent elections in the district.
