Trainee IAS officers learn about the functioning of PGIMS
Eight newly appointed trainee IAS officers visited various departments at PGIMS, Rohtak on Thursday to learn about the institute's functioning.
Rohtak, March 12, 2026: Eight newly appointed trainee IAS officers visited various departments at PGIMS, Rohtak on Thursday to learn about the institute's functioning. The trainee IAS officers were given detailed information about various departments, including Community Medicine, Hospital Administration, and Public Health. They learned about the functions, facilities, and challenges of various departments.
Director Dr. S.K. Singhal said that this visit will help the IAS officers perform better in the future. He said that the purpose of this training is to educate IAS officers about healthcare. By gaining ground-level knowledge and understanding the working system, we can benefit the public. He presented all the IAS officers with copies of the Bhagavad Gita and calendars encouraging organ donation.
Dr. Baljeet, the nodal officer for the training, took the officers on a tour of the institute and briefed them on the facilities available. During the meeting, Dr. Neelam Kumar (HOD Community Medicine), Dr. Ramesh Verma, and Dr. Varun Arora also shared information about health services and various government health schemes. The trainee IAS officers expressed their gratitude to the PGIMS administration.
