Dharamshala, May 13, 2025: To mark the resounding success of Operation Sindoor and honor the unmatched bravery of the Indian Army, a grand Tiranga Yatra will be organized in Dharamshala on May 15, announced Advocate Vishwa Chakshu, State Media Co-in-Charge of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Himachal Pradesh.
The patriotic rally, organized under the banner of Citizens for National Security, will begin from Kotwali Petrol Pump and culminate at Kachheri Adda. Prominent leaders, including former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur, State BJP President Dr. Rajiv Bindal, and Kangra-Chamba MP Dr. Rajiv Bhardwaj, will lead the procession. The event aims to unite people from all walks of life—NGOs, ex-servicemen, youth groups, and citizens—in a collective show of national pride and solidarity.
In preparation for the event, a coordination meeting was held in Dharamshala on Tuesday. The meeting was attended by senior leaders including former Vidhan Sabha Speaker and current Sulah MLA Vipin Parmar, MLA Pawan Kajal, MLA Thakur Ranveer Singh Nikka, former MLA Arun Kumar Mehra (Kuka), District BJP President Sachin Sharma, and Baroh Mandal President Ajit Rana.
Vipin Parmar emphasized the importance of informing the public about the exemplary courage displayed by the Indian Army. “Through this Tiranga Yatra, we aim to spread awareness about the heroic efforts under Operation Sindoor, through which India not only rescued its citizens from imminent danger but also sent a strong message by dismantling terror networks across the border,” he said.
Operation Sindoor, carried out under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, resulted in the elimination of high-value terrorist targets responsible for attacks on Indian soil. In a powerful display of military capability, the Indian forces destroyed 11 Pakistani airbases after neutralizing 9 major terror camps, asserting that every inch of hostile territory is within India’s operational reach.
