Time to Return CM Mann’s Arrows; Youth Must Gear Up Now for Mission 2027: Shuvam Shubhi

Ferozepur/Fazilka, September 18, 2026: Punjab Youth Congress State President Shuvam Sharma Shubhi visited Ferozepur, Fazilka and Moga as part of the Mission 2027 ‘Har Ghar Jhanda, Har Ghar Panja’ campaign. During the visit, he strongly criticised Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and the Aam Aadmi Party government. He said that the arrows fired by former Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal had been returned, and now it was time to return the arrows of Bhagwant Mann. He cautioned that Bhagwant Mann should think carefully before shooting his arrows in the future.
Addressing district executive meetings in Fazilka, Shubhi urged party workers to start preparing for the Assembly elections immediately. He said that the real strength of the organisation lies in its workers at the booth level, and that the hard work of the youth would help write a new chapter of change in Punjab.
Shubhi said that under the 'Har Ghar Jhanda, Har Ghar Panja’ campaign, at least 1,000 Congress flags will be installed in every Assembly constituency across the state. He said the campaign would not remain limited to putting up flags, but would serve as a means of taking the Congress ideology and organisation to every household.
Emphasising the need to strengthen the organisation, Shubhi said that wherever party workers enter the field united, the results also change. Citing Dhuri as an example, he said that the victory of five out of seven Block Committee members backed by Congress was proof of the organisation’s unity.
He said that the Congress is continuously strengthening its position in Punjab politics. He urged party workers to continue engaging with the people with full strength in the coming period, just as they had confronted the political moves of their opponents in the past.
During the meeting, workers also demanded that the National President of the Indian Youth Congress visit Punjab. Responding to the demand, Shubhi said that preparations were underway for his programme in October, which would provide renewed enthusiasm and energy to the youth across the state.
Former MLA Raminder Awla, while addressing the meeting, said that the real strength of the Congress lies in its dedicated workers. He said that to make Mission 2027 successful, the organisation must be strengthened at the village and booth levels. He called upon workers to prioritise public issues, remain continuously connected with the people, and take the policies of the Congress to every household.
