TiECon Chandigarh 2021 concludes on high note

Chandigarh: The concluding day of TiECON Chandigarh 2021 saw a line up of important keynote speakers who talked on topics such as barriers to adopting AI technology by Indian SMEs; using data, metrics and tools to build a stronger business model; business resilience and innovation in the new ‘hybrid’ normal and more.

The session began with the first speaker, Mr Srikanth Velamakanni; co-founder, group chief executive & vice-chairman of Fractal Analytics; who talked about how an organisation can grow with the help of technology and culture. He said, “As we start using more of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in different problems, its cost will come down drastically over the next few years and will become ubiquitous.”

The next speaker, Mr Vishal Gondal, founder and CEO of GOQii, talked about the future of gaming in the country, which is on the cusp of a revolution. He said, “In computer games, we want to make you addicted and keep playing the games. The real challenge was to combine healthcare and gaming, which had never happened before. Earlier, consumer-centric approach was massively missing.”

Describing his venture, Gondal said, “The idea is that when you come to GOQii, you are like a character in a video game and how do you play the game of life. The winner of this game is someone who can longer and healthier. Hence, longevity of life is the aim.”

Talking about the role of Centres of Excellence in catalysing emerging tech start-ups, Mr Subodh Sachan, Director STPI & Md & CEO, AIC STPI Next Initiatives; said, “Neuron has been established with the vision that we create one of the biggest start-up ecosystem here in North India. Mohali and tricity have emerged as a start-up hub and in the 5 years we hope to support atleast 50 start-ups each year.”

Mr Maninder Gulati, Global Chief Strategy Officer, Oyo Rooms, with Mr Sameer Jain, Founder & CEO, Netsolutions, discussed how to use Data Analytics to scale up businesses.

The day followed with  informative sessions by Mr Karanbir Bhatia, head, Startup Relations, Let’s Venture; Mr Rajiv Siwach, Chief General Manager (Pb & Chd Ro), NABARD; Mr Gaurav Sharma, Technical Expert, GIZ India; Mr. Anuj Kacker, Co-Founder & Coo, Moneytap; Mr Arun Naryaal, Director, Hydrocrops India Private Limited; Mr Gaurav Sharma, Technical Expert, GIZ India; and more.

Objectives of TiECON 2021 is to continue its relentless effort of inspiring entrepreneurs and significantly impacting the entrepreneurial environment. To present Chandigarh region as an attractive and robust destination for business and showcasing it as a land of entrepreneurial opportunities on the regional, national and global level.
