Three-Day Training of Census 2027 Field Trainers Concludes in Ludhiana
A three-day training programme for Census 2027 – Phase-II Population Enumeration Field Trainers was conducted from September 21 to 23, in two parallel batches in District Ludhiana. A total of 78 Field Trainers were trained during the programme.

Ludhiana, September 23, 2026: A three-day training programme for Census 2027 – Phase-II Population Enumeration Field Trainers was conducted from September 21 to 23, in two parallel batches in District Ludhiana. A total of 78 Field Trainers were trained during the programme.
The training was imparted by Alok Kumar, District Coordinator, Ludhiana, Upma Kaul, Ankush Sharma and Harmeet Singh, District Master Trainers.
On the concluding day, Ruchi Gupta, Deputy Director, Directorate of Census Operations, Punjab, Chandigarh, visited the training programme, interacted with the Field Trainers and provided important guidance regarding Census 2027 – Phase-II Population Enumeration. Census kits were also distributed to the Field Trainers.
As part of the concluding day’s session, all trainees were also given hands-on field practical training through the Census mobile application, enabling them to gain practical understanding of the app-based enumeration workflow and field procedures.
The trained Field Trainers will further impart training to Enumerators and Supervisors, helping ensure complete coverage, accurate enumeration and quality Census data during Phase-II Population Enumeration.
