Those who fired crackers and atishbaazi should be booked: CPI

Ludhiana: The Communist Party of India (CPI) has demanded action against those who fired crackers and  Aatisbaazi and Uddan Khatolaz  yesterday night. An inquiry should be held into how the crackers reached their houses during the lockdown period. At a time, when the whole society is struggling hard to manage the Corona disease how such people can celebrate like Deepawli, is beyond imagination. This is height of insensitivity developed in their minds through the events in last few years and government support to such hooligans in the past. It is beyond imagination as to how it could happen when the administration is so vigilant. The   wheat crop is almost ready to be harvested, and the so called Uddan Khatolas could have lit fire in the fields if they would have fallen in the farms.
